Yes, Malcolm. But all is forgotten now. ;) I just feel sorry those who destroyed or hurt their cars. :/

Made some progress to bro´s FB today. I´m happy, she will look awesome when finished... :) We recon that She needs b groub tail spoiler though...

Tuning mirror removed from FD. Looks quite good. And its light weight.

"Rear lights". Bro printed his son and daughter names and painted them on top. Cheap and easy idea and looks good. Notice 51mm spacer...

Rear suspension and stuff. Quite ready, needs some paint though...

Some spare FB parts... ;)

Yes, that bodykit is one of the best looking I have ever seen. Just brilliant that bro was able to use those molds. Possibility is that we will make those kits for sale too...  ::) Anyone interested...? ;)

Also, he has made all classfibre hood and nose peace. Just have to find groub B rear wing..

One thing that surprised us is that how much that door weights! It has nothing in side, aluminium inside panel and polycarbonate class. Still very heavy...

At this point I have to say that I´m really proud of my brother! He has done amazing job. With unusual car, using weird components and have done thinks to car that has never been done before basically! And without help. It has been long road... I really wish that you guys and gals some day can see that fatarse FB live!  :singing: Cheers!

Some progress...

Nose, some big holes and gaps but it doesent matter ;)

It really looks like snowplow or something like that. I think it needs to modified, its to low...

Starting to look like a car. All nose panels needs new paint though...

Bro´s custom made PPF. Its massive and weights alot but it should take lots of beating ;)

looking smart....front does look a bit low especially for rallycross....maybe a detachable lower skirt that if hits a rock or bottoms out does not rip front bump off.....maybe summit flexible like rally mudgaurd material so its got strength and give also. what colour is it going.....787b colour scheme would be epic!  ;D

We might have to cut that front bumper half, just under those air intake holes.

All those panels are made only one sheet of classfibre. One sheet is flexible and can take lots of hits and bending. However, when it brakes, it really brakes. Bro has front panels (wings) too which have two sheets of classfibre. But dont know if he is using them...

Rear of the car is allready painted. Its quite basic red. All those class fibre panels were painted too, but paint boiled off. Now they look that they are only primer painted. These red is quite near to original color and its easy to repaint...

Yeah, 787 color would be awesome. :) At first we thought group B colors...

Also, radiator is going to front. Front hasnt got room for FD´s rad, so he is using FB`s stock radiator at the moment. Unfortunatly, there is no room for oil cooler anymore, so he might have run it without it. Dunno if that a good idea though. Thoughts?

And he started to make front suspension system, again... :)

how long is a race... do fb's come with oil cooler as stock and part of overall cooling system ? if yes  then think it needs to go in....even if behind rad!or somewhere with some air flow.

Yes, Janne with his Lada and Tommi with his Sumbeam Imp has given us lots of info and tricks how to do classfibre. Its not that difficult, its all about prework. You have to have good components (stuff) and good molds.

Btw, this waiting is killing me!!! :c002: I really want to see that fatass brabbing and running. Still needs propshaft shortened, front suspension, and clutch from Carl. That about it...

Didnt see this post. :)

Well, race is 3 laps at heats and 6 at finals. Lap is about mile, depends on track. So, just few miles basically...

Fb´s has oil cooler at stock but bro`s engine is based on FD´s or FC´s (or something like that, ask Carl ;) and I think they need that cooler as overall cooling system. Rad is on front now. Cooler used to be in front too...

Yes, I think that stock system is enough too. But without cooler, I dont think its going to last long... :/

Im abit worried about that fbs radiator too...

Next rallycross round is in next weekend. We are not going however. Janne wrote to organizer, reason for retirement: lack of professionalism, riducilous organizers and track in previous event. ;)

Well, now bro and me have few days to build his car.

Have anyone heard form Carl H lately?

Sidenote: have you seen show called Cars that rock by Brian Johnson? That man is brilliant, true petrolhead! ;)
