hi does the t2 power steering use a separate controller?

I want to fit this power steering to my S3  fb so was just wondering  if it used a separate controller or the main ecu  for its speed sensitive steering?   cheers mick

There is a seperate controller for the power steering; it's either mounted on the steering column or behind the panel on the lower right hand side inside the wing. (Around the level of the drivers right shin)
