Special Mission Motorsport event with Mazda 6th July

On Monday the 6th July there is a special (non-public) track event that will run all day at Donington which some of you may like to attend.

Held in conjunction with Mission Motorsport http://www.missionmotorsport.org/about-us/ organised by Mazda UK and Nick of Mazda on Track, this is an invitation event only and Chris (CJR) and I have been honoured to be invited along and will uphold the Rotary honour on this special day supporting our service men and women.

Mission Motorsport is probably familiar to most of you, however if not, it is a services rehabilitation charity whose aim is rehabilitation of "Broken Blokes" (and girls) who have been affected in the many various ways that conflict can, and reintegrate them in to civilian society through motorsport.

Mazda UK are hopefully bringing 2 or 3 of the new MK4 MX-5's, in addition to these and other special cars in attendance, Chris should be able to Wow all the guys there with his big power RX-7 FD
As for myself, I will be there with the RX-8 Race car plus the RX-4 with Banzai Magazine coming along to feature the two cars on-track and give much needed publicity to our brave army guys and girls.

This is a pure charity event and it would be great to have some of you come along to spectate and support the event, hope to see you there.

Glad you guys are able to make it to show off two wonderful Mazda Rotarys at this event. NickD kindly invited me to go too, but regrettably I had to decline. Sooooo pleased therefore to see you two will be there :-)

Have a good day guys... not sure if that mx5 mk3 231 will be there....that was built for the Remebrance endurance race organised by Mission Motorsport. Its burgundy and carbon wrap.....keep an eye for it.

I took a couple on the iPhone but it was a bit of a slow start due to a couple of heavy accident's (BMW MMS in a very bad way hope the drivers ok, he was sent to hospital via ambulance) but a very enjoyable day and thanks to Chris for the awesome drive, I try to post them tomorrow I also got a little video of clive,s car on track but all in all well worth the trip out.

Good to see you all today,

Had a good day, spent the morning with the Banzai guys who have taken some amazing pictures of the Race car and the RX-4 for an upcoming feature, took some of the Mission Motorsport guys out for trips in both cars.

Busted 4th gear at the end of the day but then this was always going to be expendable

(already have a spare waiting in the wings)
