I just found something saying they are winter tyres??!!

boosted

Me too! Need to get all the details of the sidewall. Ok for running in but prob trigger the tc all the time after. I am abit of tyre snob tbh...performance car deserves performance tyres and if they only last 10k then so be it. Check em later.

found this not yugi but yu61.....summer perf tyre so give em ago and see how they fair.....if your traction control starts kicking in on roundabouts in the dry moderate pace then there no good. if not ok.

Is there a tyre related thread in here? May be something good for us to go off. Reviews and prices of different types if tyre?

Casey

Grant. there's MASSES of stuff on the RX-8OC on tyres. I think one of the threads runs to 160 odd pages  :)

In summary, all round best tyre is probably the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta in 245/40 R18, or 235/40 R18 (both rolling radii close to stock 225/45). Cost around £90 a corner. Excellent in wet and dry and pretty good on track too.

More track focussed, absolute bargain, road legal, Federal 595RS-R's in 235/40 R18, which can be had for £85 a tyre if you look around on 'net.

That brilliant thankyou. I may have to join up to rx8OC but just lurk in the shadows and the wanted/for sale sections :)

Reviews of them in the wet look positive. Didn't read the reviews that far previously. Was a little concerned a semi slick would be terrible in the wet

Buy my mates RB lightened flywheel. Bought brand new from Clive and never fitted.
