Finally I am going to get a 07 RX8.
Just wondering does anyone ever try to convert an S1 to R3 outlook?

R3 parts are markly more expensive than s1. If you want to change the look of a s1 to r3 you need all wings lights bumper etc....goona cost well over a grand....i passed on a easy repair r3 due to fact i could not find the parts for sensible money. Only a handful of r3s being broke. Save and get an r3!

lets not forget as well, that with only 730ish R3's ever sold in the uk,   its a hard find

No   Far too difficult and expensive to do the full job.  Even making an S1 look like an R3 is expensive and difficult - budget around £3,000 for the wings, bonnet, bumper, front lights, rear lights, seats, dash, stereo, wheels and suspension - and, in any case, most people will think anyone who does that pretty juvenile.

If you want an R3 then buy one, there are plenty around.

As said already, not a cheap conversion.

As you can see in the picture below I carried this out a few years back and you need something like 12 parts to just change the rear end with paint your in at around 2K

Then if you want to change the front I quoted 2k a couple of weeks back for all the outer nose-cone parts with the lip spoiler and fog lamps and thats without the headlamps, parts under the nosecone and the front wings etc  ???
All the best Clive
