I've heard mixed things about the garage in Wishaw, never take a car to get Mot'd there as they'll find things wrong with the car which are perfectly fine. The only person I know who took an FD there to get work done had the engine go shortly afterwards, got it taken back and then it broke again and he had to get the car sent down to england for a proper rebuild.

Pretty sure their main work is on Skylines, supra's etc and they're hesitant about FD's

What is it you're needing to have done or wanting done in the future?  My plan is to drive it down to for example WGT and leave it there to get work done then get a lift down to pick it up.

I'd be hesitant in taking a rotary to the Garage. I bought an FD which had been rebuilt there about 6 months earlier. I got it checked out by WGT about 6 months after I bought it and they had to do another rebuild as the seals had been put in wrongly. I ended up taking it down the the road annually for a major service and check up. In between I got a local guy to change the oil and do the basics to keep it running fine.

It was 10 years ago so the Garage may have more experience/knowledge now though. I doubt it though as there really isn't many rx7's in Scotland.

Hi, Had been visited the Garage for a nose few years ago and they're not rotary specialist. it was just another working garage specialist in Nissan, Toyota etcc. They're helpful and noticed it the spoke word wrong on rotary's amtomery. There's one in Aberdeen.

Hi Gordon, still got your FD??

By the sounds of things this was my FD, a long time ago now.I remember roberto from these forums used marc for a while too.

My engine was only removed by marc and sent south, same with roberto other than some mapping by marc( supervised by rob). He certainly has good car knowledge, but no specialist FD knowledge afaik. His mechanics are either self taught ( probably more knowledgeable than trained mechanics)and normal guys from run of the mill garages directed by marc.

I would leave it there for service or problem diagnosis, however tuning/ rebuilds i would take the time to goto Pip as the results can ve disastrous..... Just dont expect fast service.

P.s marc can talk a good game, which is where most of his buisness comes from.

Cheers
