Great update clive:):):):):D I will be coming too at least one of your races this season.

Am I reading correctly that you have monster ported it?? As in a monster bridge port?? If so that's just amazing!

Thanks guys,

Deliberatly no bridge this time Grant,  but very big primary's and secondary's though like I have never seen, obviously as it was Kerims design he didn't want pictures taken.

Don't forget I'm not looking for two zillion bhp, just good linier power all the way through

Exhaust note is very different, very raspy with a sound something like a pre turbo F1 car, tried to video  exhaust note but I failed miserably
All the best Clive

re japi

Looking good! :)

Yes, first year is always training and learning. Hopefully this year is better. Good luck :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Ah you just confused me when you said monster and I got all excited!!

A big street port it is then. Should be good with a nice bit off extra added boost in there:)

I do find it funny how no one in this country likes to show their ports? I mean it's not as if it's a big secret that makes people millions of pounds is it? Looking forward to coming along to support Clive, will hopefull bring along my dad, my gf and my son at least:)

Clive if you use your phone to record the sound of the car cup your hand around the speaker/microphone of your phone. So as your blocking the sound that's blasting into it directly, I do that and it gives a much clearer sound rather being a distorted mess

Grant Monkhouse

Are they not racing at donnington park this year??

I wonder if they're doing more work at donnington as there had been a lot of earth moved when we came down last time?

I will make it to oulton park for sure and maybe 2 others, just depends on what I have on around those times

It will be good to see you as always Grant,

Well after two years of pain we finally have great news ---------------------a fully mapped running correctly race car with power so linier that it's like driving a normally aspirated RX-8  :0012397:

It you couldn't hear that big GT40 Turbo whistling you wouldn't even know it had a Turbo fitted, all due to the amazing porting that Kerim carried out and the mapping talents of Jaydee which means the engine pulls from very low down with even the slightest of boost pressure --------thank you Powergains

I can now book the first round at Rockingham on Saturday the 11th with a day's testing there the day before ---------can't wait to see if we now have a competitive package I can start developing

Had the car on the Dyno yesterday how much power and where it produced power.

Finally I have the car producing horsepower exactly how I wanted it to when I started building the car.

Never wanted mental power just good linier usable power and you will see from the power graphs below we now have 373 BHP which is exactly the aimed for power  .

Thanks go to Kerim for his great porting to give me NO Turbo lag and putting the engine together with me and Jaydee for patience to map the car keeping the DSC systems in place.
Thanks also go to the support from all of you guys here.

Have already replied over on RX8OC, but this is something we all wanted to see, a genuine one off and something a bit special, well done to all involved. Go racing Clive. All the best for the coming race season I am not in the least envious.
Sadly no longer with us, RIP Ray, 9 Feb 2021

Let's hope after all last year's development issues, things have finally come together so that you can finally go out there and enjoy competing on track. I'm looking forward to seeing you race this season  :)
