Good 1s are about but i think youll have to be prepared to travel. With your budget gonna get whole lotta car for little money. Prices seem rock bottom atmo.

Yeh I had a look on rx8oc ther other day to see if those 2 I looked at before were still for sale but I couldn't see them. Was wondering if there is one a fair distance away if someone near by would view it for me,  so I don't waste a trip and it's not a good one. As I will most likely have to get the train down and drive back with it.

There's one on eBay now for cheap or close offers that I may buy if he prepared to give it up for next to nowt

See anything southwest you like ill happily check it out for you.

Thanks. Just having a look at some on rx8oc now. There's one with a rebuild from rotary revs for 3250 but I don't want to pay more than 2500. My rule for buying/selling cars is that the asking price is always 1000 higher than you want to sell it for so the buyer feels they are getting a deal so 2500 is a good price to me

No want a 231 for the road. Tax is a joke on 06s. But if I have to then I have to.

Grant Monkhouse

The blue ones a 192? A never mind

Yep nemisis is 192. 5 speed box on 192s and 6 speed on 231. Dont think alot of diff tbh only driven 1 192 but a good few years back now when i had my first 231. Ill have a look about locally...only prob i see sourcing from rx8oc is over inflated prices but flip side sorted well looked after cars.

Yeh they're over inflated but if they want to sell they're cars then they have too let them go, however there's always someone willing to pay the asking price

^^ Yep, that's "Japimport" (Derry's) car from the RX-8 OC. He took it to Cadwell last year and I met him there - very nice guy. I think it's a very good price for the car, with all the mods and fresh engine. Genuine reason for sale too, as he's starting a business and will be travelling a  lot to clients. Not the right car for economy and not quite the right impression for an accountant to roll up at a client in this car  :)

Hope it goes to someone who will look after it and enjoy it  :)

re japi

Well gents, I have been studying, thinking, and looking at my low power engine. And talking to few engine builders, including Aston.
I really think that low power engine is under rated and taunted for no good reason. I see lots of potential and room for improvement in that engine.

At this point Im not really sure if Im going to semi pp my engine, because I believe that with porting that engine can do 230-240BHP, and quite easy I believe. Ofcourse Im not sure about that but it would be awesome project to test.

Seems like no one likes to tune and port those engines. Well, for buyer its a good thing, they can be bought quite cheap. (I think)

This was a bit of topic but I hope this helps a little. :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.
