That ex8 is 217 miles away! Bit too far me thinks

Grant Monkhouse

The strato blue one is very nice but that's 220 mild away. Why can't it be 20 mikes away?!!!

You gotta travel for the right car mate.  Mind you 220 miles is tankful in an 8 lol!  Lucky fuel prices are dropping . Get your share of fuel before its gone is what i say!

220 out of a tank!! Finding the time to go that far for a car is what dissuades me. And if I get there and it's not for me:(

I'm giddy to get out
In one now, all three of us blasting along at 9,000 rom

Ha yeh. I am a bit shocked that they only get 220. But I suppose they don't get the cruising in vaccum a turbo motor gets.

Series 1 RX8s have a 60 litre tank, Series 2 RX8s (R3s are the only series 2 the UK got there are only about 730 in the UK and whilst they're nice they're more awkward to work on and have unique parts that are harder to come by) have 64 litre tanks.  The holy grail on the RX8OC amongst the eco-minded is 300 miles to the tank on a Series 1 and 324 miles on a Series 2.  I've got 320 from my series 1, but I've also drained a tank in 78 miles!

Given where you are I reckon it would be good to have a chat with Rotary Revs.  It's in Leeds and is run by the chairman of the RX8OC and specialises in RX8s.  Ben can generally find some good stuff in terms of a bargain.

This is the RX8OC buying guide which you should be able to view without signing up to the forum.  (If you can't then PM me!)

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!

Thanks will, I shall have a read through it. Also give them a ring, didn't realise they were up north away from civilisation of the south

Right iv been busy working and being a dad. Got money burning a hole in my ass so need an rx8, well infact I'm thinking of getting 2. A dirt cheap one that's low on compression to strip out and out my turbo engine in, and one decent to have for weekends instead of driving my work car
