Ha ha, not content with \'frying\' any competitors that tried to overtake with your side exit single exhaust, your now trying to stop twice as many competitors with dual flame throwers !!!

Gutted for you regarding the frustrating clutch slip, but happy the engine mapping is starting to show you were on the right track all along with this \'novel\' configuration (engine/turbo/ecu(s), chassis).

So that\'s another development year almost over, lets look forward to 2015 and a full race calendar. :3gears-lh

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!

Thanks Will, that will be much easier than a blow lamp a wire brush and burn skin when the hot goo spits at you :Nono!

I will now try and get that sound deadening out of the boot floor and foot wells to save some weight over the winter :Thumbs-up

The pair of you will be leaving your socks and underwear off and cutting your toe nails next to save more weight. :Laugh

I used Dry Ice for mine, amazing the speed it gets rid of the sound proofing. Trouble is it sublaments by 50% per day so you have to use it on the day and drive home with the car windows open so you don\'t suffocate !

re japi

It was really a head pain to get that goo out of FB. :( But it really save weight when you get it of. Quite heavy stuff actually...
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

I must have removed 30kg of sound deadening out of the rx4 so it\'s defo worth doing Clive. I removed mine in the winter so a hammer and chisel took it off as it was freezing.

Dry ice and a freezing winter day will get it off easy. Make sure you have a heavy hammer though, as the bigger the hammer the better. This applies to all things

Good old engineering phrase "If it doesn\'t fit you just haven\'t got a big enough hammer"

Good stuff Clive. Shame about the slipping clutch...you will definitely be a front runner :)
Looking forward to hear how you finish in December...give it gas!
