Im just wondering as to what power peope have got with their remap without an uprated downpipe? With supporting mods

Tbh i didn\'t really gain much from an aftermarket DP over a standard jap DP.

you looking at circa 300 -330 bhp at the fly , with Decat, Intercooler, air filters and apexi, downpiper might give you an extra 5 to 10 bhp

Right ok..what does it give you apart from the extra 10 bhp? Better spool up? More torque? Or is it not really that noticable? Because pip is mapping my car next week and just weighing up weather it would be really benifical to have a dp

nuki

I had the downpipe and decat fitted and it certainly made a difference after pip mapped it

BlitzBoy

Decat makes the biggest difference, the downpipe will give you slightly better spool, you will only notice the boost curve on the dyno, you wont feel it in ya seat as it were

yehreally

Aftermarket downpipe probably weighs a lots less.......:yes

Daston

Am I right in thinking the downpipe also helps with heat soak?

Ashp1989

In thinking that aswel..an aftermarket dp will generate less heat?

neil_jdmr

Nope, a standard jap DP has no cat so heat soak is not an issue,  like I said I noticed no difference,  but the decat made a complete change in power
