Quote from: Grant Monkhouse;880097Now that has been sorted, when you hitting the dyno for enough power too out drag that Datsun on the straights?

Not sorted just yet, should have parts rounded up by next weekend. Struggling to find the 9.5 x18 that I need ATM, should know more on Monday

As for power, with a bit more boost dialled in by Powergains mapper extraordinaire, Jaydee, I am looking more to have some more power lower down

Exit speed with low down power should greatly improve once we have this suspension stuff sorted

Everyone one around me has heard me say , first we get it up n running then we develop------------and now it begins.

Just to let you know the next race is at Snetterton on the 200 track on Saturday the 12th July (not the Sunday)

I have now changed my main rear suspension link bars and removed the bent one that was making the car so difficult to drive as you will see below. No ideas how this happened but we have brand new bars on there now.

Off to TDI at Lakeside next Wednesday to get everything realigned, just hoping my 9.5x18\'s that will be going on the rear with 265 Yokohama\'s turn up in time.

With the car armed with its new suspension bars it was off Lakeside Essex  to tdi (Torque Developments international) yesterday  for a full suspension re-jig

After much discussion  we based my now new settings on the little information I could bring to the party, well I knew the front worked at the slow speeds I was entering corners at !, this means we should still have good turn in and keep the rear tyre\'s flat on the ground to give exit speed (well that\'s the theory) :chat .

As you can see below these guys have real equipment and were trained at Pro-Drive, nice thing is that everything is shown in real time on a TV screen at the front of the car so even when final tightening takes place, if anything moves it can be seen.

Finally In recognition of Jaydee\'s work (and continued work) we have new Powergains stickers up the side as well now.

Thanks guys,

Rear wheels should be in direct from Enkei in the States tomorrow, I will get some pics up when they are on

Astons lent me his arch roller in case it needs fattening up at the back a bit:eek:

I have an update but no pictures I\'m afraid.

After working today to rebuild the clutch after the metal center plate between the two friction plates stuck and would not let clutch free off we are all set to race this  Saturday @ Snetterton .

Thanks go to Lewis @ LC Rotary who gave me the use of a lift and  worked with me to pull the gear box out and re-fit,  also to Mazdatrix in the States who came through to get me a pair of friction plates and the center plate across to me in just two days,

Turned out the plates had no wear though, so that tiny Quatermaster clutch is holding the power OK (see below).

Also we now have a new pair of 265 Yokohama sitting on Enkie 9x18 rims to find some more grip at the back

For those attending this Saturday, 12th July, it looks like a real good entertaining  race program with the MX-5 Super Cup, TVR racing, Quaife special saloons and much more

Quote from: boosted;880940Any news on how Clives doing?

Not much to report I\'m afraid, sadly for what ever reason the car lost oil pressure and I pulled off on the last lap of qualifying :3Confused

No ideas as to why as yet, however I will know later in the week as we already had  the engine to lift out out of the before putting it back on the trailer

Darn! Not a good weekend for both of us! Id appreciate your view on my crash you tube clip Clive with your track experience. I dont need it wrapped it cotton wool! If you think its driver error then ok all part of the learn.
Hope you get it sorted real soon.

Balls, was it something inside the engine or a blown pipe ?
