Stock FC T2 secondary rail with 1680cc Bosch injectors.
Does this look like it sits properly? or does it need modding? (yes it leaks)

Looks ok but I hope that\'s not fuel on them...
My TII had the same rail but I could not use an aftermarket FPR with it so went with the KGParts rail.

They don\'t look like the right color for 1680\'s though

#2
i\'ve got a SARD fpr on it which works fine. 1680\'s came in 2 colours, thine the other colour was blue? or cream. think these were the older versions. cant remember what the difference was. I could be wrong.

and yes its fuel :( definately leaking somewhere, maybe o ring but not took apart yet. seems a massive job for me :/

Any ideas what ACV is?
Looking at getting kg secondary rail only.

Copied form rx7store:
Secondary fuel rail
Replaces secondary fuel rail
Designed to accept Bosch 1600cc injectors
Machined aluminum extrusion with machined mount brackets
Bolt-on application
All parts and hardware included
ACV must be eliminated
Rail is tapped at both ends to accept 3/8 NPT fittings.

oops, just found out Air Control Valve.. that went ages ago.

Just order kg rail secondary, good exchange rate. I feel a shopping spree coming!

From what I remember on Mitch\'s old car, the Bosch injectors won\'t fit standard rail without shimming, and you will need a grommet set for the fuel rail - should replace this with new injectors / fuel rail anyway, as the grommets will find the shape / size of the rail and injector and after a time go a teensy bit stiff - they won\'t seal so well on new parts.

It\'s not a massive job - just be careful of the intake manifold gasket, very easy to break it with taking Upper manifold/plenum on and off.

Thanks Prof! always to the rescue :)
Grommet set? Where would i find a set of them?

Fingers crossed the inlet gasket wont be too stuck on as not covered many miles since it was last taken apart.

Mitch\'s Bosch injectors came with the fuel rail grommet, and also the grommet for the injector pintle end where it mates with the engine housing.  Atkins Rotary also do a set of O rings and grommets for the standard injectors, so if you want to tidy up the primaries at the same time, these are ideal.  I\'m sure one of the vendors on here should be able to source a set for you to.

The KG parts rail is also made for us style 14mm injectors.
You may need new o rings to fit this as the standard is 11mm
Not sure how they got those injectors in that rail as when I tried the 1680\'s would not fit even without the rubbers.

To clear this up a little:

Mitch used a KG rail on his setup, I used SARD 800cc injectors in the S4 rail.

thanks both :)
I guess best thing to do now is take apart and see what sizes i need.
I thought would be a simple job >.<
