Urgent - 2nd Track Time Available @ Japfest

I have been offered a second track session at Japfest 1 Castle Combe

The 2nd session will be at 12:30 so cars doing the first session at 11:36 can wait in the pits eating ice-cream between sessions rather than run the gauntlet back to the club stand.

I have to confirm this by 12pm tomorrow. As we have to poay upfront for this, please ensure that you genuinlyy want to take up this track session otherwise we the club will lose monies.

Evening "bump". Numbers now at ~7 on RX8OC, need more takers urgently if this is going to happen. This has always been great fun, driving around the very fast Castle Combe track, especially at such a big event as this.

We have 16 places booked of the 20, so hope we can get 4 more before the day, or cover the shortfall somehow.

@blackadder - good to have you along! Someone will be along shortly to inform you how to pay for your place.

That will be tough for two reasons;

1. Logistics, the 12.48 group will already be queued up in the pitlane, ready to go out as soon as the last car in the 12.30 session exist the track, so you\'d probably have to come off a little early and make your way around to join the 12.48 group.
2. Time on track. I don\'t know your car and its capabilities, but we mormally find that 15-20 minutes on track with a rotary then requires at least the same time to do some cooling of engine, tyres and brakes (and driver!).

With very careful planning you might be able to do both sessions; maybe two cooling laps at the end of first session and an exit a couple of minutes early, then a cooling "out-lap" on the 2nd session and a cooling lap at the end may be OK. Only you know if your car\'s tyres, brake and cooling can take effectively nearly 30 minutes on track with minimal cooling-off. Ambient temps on the day will also be a factor.
