Finally had time to watch Touring Car Legends via catchup that was on ITV4 last Wednesday, excellent program made even more excellent by the fact that RX-7\'s are featured as they won the BTCC Championship

Well to be more precise, they dominated to the extent that they got banned !

None of that is mentioned but what is mentioned is that they didn\'t need silencers the first year and ran megaphones ----------- I remember seeing the pair running together at Brands and my ears bleeding, but boy what a noise:cool

To get rid of our dominant Rotarys they introduced a ruling that all cars must have a four door equivalent -------------- and the RX-7 was gone :reallymad

Good Win Percy interview and look out for the white Gen 1 TWR along side Tom Walkinshaw\'s transporter

Enjoy the RX-7 racing footage if you can get the program from last Wednesday at 8pm  , I did :Thumbsup!

Continues this Wednesday

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just found this absolute gem and anyone who loves the sound of a Rotary must see this film below following the TWR RX-7 of Win at the 1980 BritishGrand Prix  (17 minutes)

You will then realise how dominant and reliable the Rotary was and why it got banned,

Look out for the currant day interview at the end where Win tells the story of the brand new RX-7 that was a spectators car and robbed of its parts in the car park

For anyone with a Rotary soul, this is a must watch

Really good watch enjoyed, Tom was a top man for those RX7s everyone wanted one, good memories of all those other cars too! the Hillman Imp Sport was a tiny car, but so good.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself...
But i can always do with some help now due to, my advancing years!

Great find Clive; very 80\'s in style, commentary and music! Loved the sounds and that interview with Win at the end is a real hoot :Thumbs-up
