I’m putting together an offer on a replacement car for the FC and I am going to offer my FC at what I think is a very good price.

Taking into account it’s just after xmas and a convertible - £1500.00

Doubt you could by the rebuilt engine for this.

If I miss out on the deal for the car I fancy I’ll take it off sale and keep it until the weather picks up.

As a lot of older members know this car underwent a pretty extensive restoration before I bought it and it is absolutely solid. I can arrange to have the car on a ramp for any inspection.

I bought this car about three years ago as a non-runner, blown engine, and had a rebuilt engine fitted by Hayward Rotary.

This engine has covered about 2k miles

This is a stock engine, no porting etc.

During my ownership I have.

Replaced the hood with a mint vinyl one from Tim [there is a slight water leak from the rain pockets]
Fitted original spec leather seats
Fitted a more stock exhaust system
Fitted a replacement dif.
Fitted ‘Afterburner’ rear light cluster
18in wheels and tyres [the ones that used to be on Clive’s FC]

This car is about 27 years old and for its age I think it’s in exceptional condition.

There is a little surface paint bubbling on the top of the passenger door top and around the boot light.

The MOT and tax is June 2014

A few FC’s cabs come up for sale, not many as good as this one.

The car would also come with a complete spare engine that I bought to rebuild to a higher spec.

All ancillaries, inc turbo etc, except for the power steering bits.

I don\'t know the condition as it was already out of a car but I turned it by hand and it has compression.

Due to my 11 year working relationship with Carl, I supply his graphics and signs etc, there\'s an established \'gentlemans agreement\' between us.

I know he\'s always fair regarding costs and looks after me so I\'ve had no requirement to specifically ask for a warranty.

I think you\'d need to ask Carl what, if any, the warranry situation would be.

I think it\'s cheap for what you get - you couldn\'t get a rebuild for the price.

But you gotta want an Fc

The spare engine isn\'t listed on ebay - that will only be included in the sale to an MRC full member

If there is more money in breaking it you could buy it, take the seats and sell the rest.
Not something I have the interest in doing.

Damn that is clean, love the rear spats and the red carpet.

The carpet in my cab looks like a tramp slept in it for a generation... then died on it and decomposed into it
