After owning an RX8 for some months now, and previously owning an FD, (i really did miss it at first), i am really happy with it, no it does not have the same raw power as an FD, but it\'s no slouch either, together with a few selected mods, (not turbo yet) power increase, comfort, and handling, is much improved.

Would i go back to an FD? probably not now...

The only down side to owning an rx8 is the looks. The FD is by far a superior looking car and a timeless classic, the rx8 is a bit .......meh IMO

Yes have to agree with you, for me it is the front fenders, they really need a makeover, look just like Mud guards, which i will be looking at this year they have to change, lol

I have seen some aftermarket wings out there.

There is an RX-8 in Powergains workshop with a really good looking pair of front wings on it with vents in the top and changed as they swoop down at the back.

Not over there for a while but I\'ll take a picture next time and try and find out what they are.
All the best Clive

Great looking fenders but fitment is supposed to be shocking and in need of lots of work there are numerous horror storys about them on the RX8club

I still think the RX8 will age just as well as the FD however its a victim of the face our cars are becoming bigger and bigger... Even more so post RX8... Just look at small cars like the fiesta they are now huge
Turbocharged 192ps RX-8 running Meth Injection on an Adaptronic
Fully Bridgeported 231ps RX-8 stripped for the Track
2nd Gen RX-7 TurboII on a GT35r (show winner)

Those fenders are a pig to get right and would not fit your front end be leave me !with out a lot of body work that has to be done, even more with the ATH front end, I still got mine which i was going to fit but would not go (looks f :censored: with the ATH kit ) with the frond end thats why i went full ATH but not selling them on as i still have all the original bits just in case i have to revert to the basic car you could pick them up for £265.00 when it was $2.00 to the pound.

Thank guys for the info, will have to rethink and more research.

Have to agree Arnie, and i do think they will be very sought after cars in time.

I mailed them and they tell me they are £400 delivered to the UK from Sri Lanka, obviously there is customs on top

Fitment is not too much of an issue on the race car and they looked as though they could be very functional for me, but at that price for fiber wings I would need to think carefully.

Tony, are they heavy because as you know, stock wings weigh nothing and  I would not want to put more weight into the car.

I have emailed them too, but not had a reply, fitment on aftermarket body parts is always going to be a problem some worse than others, but can be done.
