A Bugatti veyron is only 250 hp per tonne, maybe even as low as 200per tonne

Bugatti Veyron is more like 500 bhp per tonne.

I think its about 350 at mo with some dodgy maths... rear end grip is what i researching now as i doubt my little Westory was ever designed to have 250 bhp.

It needs more rear end grip so been researching tyre widths, aero and such like. Most of the forums say aero on kitcars does not work but hey ho worth a try.

Not going to do combe next week its sold out but there is 1 more at Keevil next month so cant help myself i gotta do it. I can be up to speed allot sooner in the day than this first outing and I\'m going to make a alloy chequer plate heath robinson rear spoiler that i can bolt to cage with exhaust clamps:eek to see if a bit of rear downforce keeps it more stable when i try and feed the power in mid corner. From my 1 early vid on 888\'s when i get it right it fly\'s out the bends but wrong its opposite lock to lock to stop me spinning.

All in very good fun and a while back i made the decision not to repair my Fd as i wanted to save the cash for racing and whilst at the time gutted its come out for the greater good. Ive been buzzing all weekend!:burnout:burnout:burnout

Oh yeah. Oops. Dunno where I pulled that number from. Probably out my arse cos I was clearly talking :censored::censored::censored::censored:!! Hah

The aerial atom v8 has aero but that thing is more aimed at sprint events etc. I would focus on tyres and suspension and driving skill. There\'s a thread on other forum about this guys time attack Elise/exige thing, he\'s got more aero on there than a formula one car, non tested and it looks terrible, probably going to fall off in a slight gust of wind and he\'s missed the main thing when coming to drive fast, and that\'s learning how to drive faster with his abilities, not down force abikities

I\'m sure you won\'t be limited to rear tyre width as you essentially don\'t have a wheel arch to limit you:)

Depends what his race series regs say to be honest. Caterfield type stuff tends to have the same size tyres front to rear so going up a size or two on the rear may well make the difference.  Cater ham developed an aero package for their 7 that was supposed to be worth seconds a lap but it was extensive. I\'ve seen them with wings mounted over the rear axle so maybe there\'s something there but definitely wider rear tyres would be a simple first point to start!

Should be fine with regs as special gt\'s is pretty open...more seat time and less lead foot. Looking at rear spacers to widen rear track and can go 225 so that should be it.    Maybe just a little bgw.
