Hi Which Rear Cusco Brace did you use as i have been told they wont fit a convertible

I\'m not sure of the model number but as i understand it there is no difference and the braces fit both hard tops and verts?

This is one of the mounts, maybe someone can tell you if this is the same as there hard top brace?

 

However you should note that some of the vert plastics need trimmed to allow the brace to fit and one of the plastic cross bars to the rear of the spare wheel cover needs removed.

I\'m now on the hunt for a pair of bolt on 20-25mm 5x114.3 wheel spacers!! let me know if any one is selling a set?

thanks, your fc3c is amazingly clean, quite similar to mine, (racing beat exhaust, ray briggs etc) great minds!

A few more updates -

I\'ve been loving having a convertible during the good weather! This car gets so many looks, No one has any idea what it is!







Added 20mm rear spacers







Took the Fc to a local dyno day

Made 241 bhp 221 ft/lb

Fitted a mazdaspeed wheel



Decided to take the Fc on a road trip to the Isle of Skye, Applecross and Inverness, amazing roads up there!







Mx5 short shifter fitted- yes it can be done!



Re-amemyia Redom 80mm gauge and classic vent mount



Still to fit -
Rear control arm bushings


New front arms and bushings


Braided clutch line


Battery relocation kit


And finally my brother surprised me by getting this custom made for me!
It\'s a five puck clutch with pads from a wrc rally clutch and updated plates, it could be crazy, can\'t wait to get it fitted!

Those spacers make it look so much better. Who knew 20mm could do such a lot.

2014 Update

We have been working away on the RX7 vert to get it ready for the summer.



Back to the garage for more work!



Engine out.





Sump gasket replaced



Series 5 gearbox fitted. (For some reason an S4 box was fitted during the auto-manual conversion)



Fitted a T04 hybrid turbo



Bought an HKS silent high power from japan







My brother has been putting a lot of work into a new front mount system matching the old school Japanese greddy \'over the top\' setups.





Just need to fit this lot then the fun begins!



Can\'t wait to get this back on the road!
