Hi, i\'m Terri. I live in Horsham, West Sussex UK but am originally from Essex.

I\'m in between rotaries at the moment but i\'ve had a few of them over the years, a Turbo II, Turbo II cabriolet and a couple of FBs, the last one I owned since before I could actually drive and I sold it just a few weeks ago to a friend at work but I still get to drive it at weekends!

I was brought up with rotaries, Dad was Terry Mayne and he\'d been racing and tuning rotary Mazdas in the 70s, nearly all of my family raced or owned rotaries over the years including RX2, RX3, RX4 and even an R100 so it was no surprise when I got into them as well. Going to head over to the Old School thread and see if I hear of any of them still around on here....

What i\'m really craving now is an RX3 project car, would mean a lot to me to get one and get it on the road, hoping one may come out of the woodwork in the UK or might end up importing...

Anyway, nice to be here and hope to bump into some of you in the forums.

my best quote was 1500 to import it, I would love to have it but would get too much grief off my missus if I got another car, otherwise it would be in a crate on its way over lol

There was a UK car came up on there a couple of days ago, big restoration project but it vanished off ebay last night and I missed out... should have been quicker on that bid button.

Still finding my way round the forums atm so will have a dig around.

I seem to remember one for sale not too long ago, was a big project, but I suspect you know what you\'re doing.

I like both of those ebay ones, just steering wheel on the wrong side

Hi Carl, of course, indeed I do remember! Hope you are keeping well.
Was it the red RX4 you came for back then PDF422M? Don\'t suppose you know what became of it?
Still, once these rotaries are under your skin, there\'s no getting away!
I guess you probably heard but Dad passed away not long after we last saw you.

A few Rx3\'s are appearing each year.. you just missed a good one in the channel islands!

Ah! Typical to have just missed one. I got in touch with Ray Nixon yesterday and seems he has an RX4 for sale so I will keep an eye there too...

I\'ve moved around a bit over the years! Looks like you\'re Worthing? That\'s not so far from here. Might have to pick your brains sometime for any local specialists who can help take care of rotaries....

I heard the sad news about your Father, sorry to hear about that.
Ray Nixon ended up with that RX4 and another red one that I got and made one good one out them both, maybe your Dads one is the one that he restored! Could be fate!!
Your right about rotaries getting under your skin, its a disease!
You\'ll have to pop over some time and see us!

Randomly, I had a chat with Ray just last night and he mentioned that RX4 turned into the one he has for sale. Don\'t think I can resist a random road trip to go have a look at it

Sure Carl, would love to pop in sometime, it\'s not that far a trip from where I am. Will give you a bell.

Just to update that I now have an RX3 project car! Definitely a long termer. Can\'t wait to get her home! Details to follow along with some more info on another rotary I\'ve picked up

And Carl, I\'ve been doing some digging to try to locate my dad\'s old RX3 race car and I think it might have morphed into your black RX3 with the big wheel arches... Catch up about it sometime!
