FD Power steering on FC

Hi guys, I\'m hoping someone mite be able to shed some light on a thing for me.

Ok so, I\'m putting an 13b-REW in my FC and i going to try and keep the fd PAS pump for handiness.  My fc steering rack has a large and small feed pipe, which i assume the pump switches between whether is whats the steering heavy or light.

The question is......... can i block of the small feed pipe ok, or will this lead to any problems??
