M\'s Filters

:rolleyes: Hi Guys and Girls, just wandering what peoples views are on m\'s filters. I have recently got a second hand pair and cannot make up my mind what i think of them. They seem to flow plenty of air but make a horrible induction noise at around 2000 ish revs, which is a pain in the arse as this equates to about thirty mile an hour or so, i thought about changing the actual filter and keeping the intake bodies to see if that quitens things down a bit. Anyone have an opinion or anyone running the filters and getting the same noise/problem.( I know the filters are actually K&N\'s, but branded M\'s)

I don\'t know what M\'s look like or sound like I have blitz which make a bit of nosie but the main noise you here is really the dump valve and the airpump not so much the filter, in my case any how.

What sort of revs is the air pump operative, or is it constant. I have had Blitz before but on a Impreza and i thought they sounded gorgeous. I had no trace of this noise with the stock air box and interstingly enough, even if the filters are removed and you just leave the intakes you still get the noise. Just thought that maybe with a different construction of filter it might dumb down the noise a bit??

The airpump works from idle to approx 2,400 rpm then cuts off.

Thanks Brian, its great that people want to help. Still would be good to hear from anyone who is actually using m\'s filters/intake out there!!!
