Reluctantly I\'ve come to the decision to sell my car ; plans to emigrate later in the year means that it has to go unfortunately.

It\'s a series 8 imported about 4 years ago, and was a 4 at the auction back then. It\'s completed 57,000 miles (~21,000 since I got it).
It had a major service completed by WGT last year, during which I took the opportunity to get the engine compression tested as well.  This gave results of 675 / 700 / 685 for the front and 685 / 705 / 710 for the rear, so good readings.
It\'s got tax until October 2013 (as a 1.3) and MOT until Mid June 2013.

Cosmetically the car is standard and in good condition. There’s a very small amount of paint missing on the leading edge of the rear wing (shown in pictures) but that\'s about it and a tiny bit of bubbling on the corner of the bonnet. The black plastic front splitter is discoloured due to the age, but I\'ve got a new one sitting on the shelf that will be fitted before any sale. The car came with RAYS wheels  but I\'ve sourced and installed a set of the original 17” wheels that were stock. If the buyer wants the RAYS wheels I can include them in the sale. The car also has the BOSE acoustic wave system in the boot.

Mechanically the car is in good condition, the only issue is an slightly erratic rev counter that sometimes works and sometimes doesn\'t – it\'s been fine since coming out of winter storage but I thought I should mention it.  It\'s got the usual upgraded air intake, filter, inter-cooler etc. and a Grex / Alcon big brake kit which is pretty impressive (and would have cost the original owner a frankly absurd amount of cash). It has a free flowing exhaust system with a sports catalyst (always passed MOT emissions without problems), turbo timer fitted and a boost limiter. I also fitted an enlarged battery  compared to the standard Japanese fit. Being a RS it benefits from Bilstein suspension and different gear ratios to the type r, giving stronger acceleration.

Any questions, feel free to post them here or email me at flyingmaybe(at)googlemail.com and I\'ll try to answer them.

Looking for £7500.

Al

Looks gorgeous and very good price.  I narrowly missed out on a very similar car last year (too slow!); I\'d definitely be looking for something just like this if I was still in the market.

Thanks for all the kind comments - it\'s been a fantastic car for me so have always tried to look after it.

Rexlam (and others); I\'m in Newcastle upon Tyne though am relatively often down Birmingham and could potentially bring it down if anyone wanted a look.

Cheers

Hi Folek,

I\'ve stuck some additional photos up on flikr which I think cover the areas you were asking for, but if not just give me a shout.

With the rev counter; it either works and reads the engine speed correctly or gives an inaccurate reading when the car is first started but usually starts reading correctly after a while. It\'s been fine for the last few weeks I\'ve been using the car, but while I\'d love to say its fixed itself while being stored in the garage, I doubt thats the case :)

I did find a possible fix for the problem on the boards a while back, but as its never really bothered me I never implemented the fix.
