Sorely tempted. Its a great price and Snet is about a 10 minute drive from the O/Hs parents. I know she\'d like an excuse to go back and spend a weekend with them.
 
Although I\'ve got a new (quiet) exhaust there\'s a few other things I need to get done before Japfest.
 
Mind you, with Lenny signing up there\'ll be another FC on track...
 
if the weather is good enough to get aome bits done this weekend and I borrow some tools from the guys at work I might be able to.

We\'ve now got to the five names I was hoping for at this stage so this event is GO!

If you are reading this thread for the first time, please check a few posts above for a summary of the how the day will run. The important points;

This is a Road Car Only event. ALL cars must be driven to the circuit and must not resemble a racing car. Drivers must not hold a competition licence.

The usual trackday noise limits at Snetterton will apply for this day.

The downside is that we only get 40 minutes OPL an hour BUT the upside is;

1. 70 cars max with a 45 car track limit (70/30 at Brands), so queueing, maybe apart from the start of each session, shouldn\'t be much of a problem.
2. The price is now just £124, less 10% if we get 10 or more cars, so just £111.60.
3. We get 1 garage per 5 cars FREE, we can have more at £25 each.
4. We get to watch a Formula 4 testing session for free (Formula 4 is NEW this season)! Formula 4 website link

PROCESS FOR BOOKING THIS:
Phone Stuart at MSVT on 01474 875226. Tell him you want to book on the "Rotary Group" for Snett on 17th April. He will want your personal details and a credit card number to secure your place. At 5pm on Tuesday, 2nd April he will "close the book" and will charge the event to our cards, either £124 if less than 10, or discounted by 10% if we have 10 or more. At that point I\'ll sort out what garages we will need (1 free with every 5 cars, so that\'s ~5% discount too).  

Please change your status to "PAID" as I have done below, so I can keep a tally.

I will get paid up as soon as I can sort insurance, can anybody recommend a track day insurer who does not insist that you already have a policy with them. What a \'mare

Hi Greg - try these guys for "standalone" trackday insurance;

There are others, but the first tow are widely used by owners. Sky is new to this type of cover.

Usual rate is about 1% of car value (so £10,000 cover at £100) with ~10% excess. Check the small print carefully for what is covered and what isn\'t.

THERE ARE STILL PLACES LEFT FOR ANY LATECOMERS, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE QUICK!

At the moment, it\'s looking like there will be no more than ~50 cars booked on this event so, with a 45 cars track limit, the 40 minute sessions shouldn\'t involve any queuing at all and would allow us one or two short sessions in each 40 minute window. In reality, this could work out better than a heavily booked Open Pitlane day where we could be queuing in the pitlane, waiting for cars to come in.

Stuart at MSV is holding back on processing payments until MONDAY. If we get 10 people booked in total then we\'ll get the 10% discount applied to all places, else it will be the full price of £124.
