FD3S Wheel Stud Information

Hi Guys,
If any of you currently have wheels off your FD would you kindly measure the stud projection from the face of the hub. Front and rear are different length studs and I don\'t know which is which. I have stud bar in at present and want to return to correct studs.

no idea if this is correct .. but a quick google shows :

The OEM stud for an FD is 1.75" overall length. Knurl Diameter 0.509 in. Knurl Length (in) 0.315 in.

Thanks mate but I have the original studs: 8 off 1.75" and 8 of 1.625". I know it\'s only 1/8th" but it matters because of the nut thread depth.

Thanks Shaun but I am no wiser. The table appears to indicate the same length front and rear for a 93.

Urm, Just had a look at mine and the front and rear seem to be the same length?? i can only assume the Hub or Disk must be slightly thicker on one Axel.

Ok just done a bit of reading and found this "rears part number is B455-33-062, and the fronts J00Y-33-062" (Allegedly) but that doesn\'t help much with which is the longer one

Thanks guys, between you, you have given me the information to work it out. However, I could still do with somebody actually measuring the out-stand from the hub so that I can cut the stud bar rather than replace it, the rears are a pig to do.

What Measurement do you need? will Brake disk to end of stud do it or does it have to be Hub to end of stud?

Hi Grizzly,

I need the length of exposed stud at both front and back. As you said they may protrude the same at the front as they do at the rear even though the original lengths are slightly different due to a thicker hub at one end.
