Can someone who has a stripped out interior (if possible) please take a close up (ish) picture of the bar that runs from left to right on the passenger side of the car. I\'ve managed to find out that my water leak (see other post) is coming from underneath the car, as whenever the car is parked up, the floor stays dryish, put driving along in the rain, in the space of 5 minutes you can see little water runs forming from the bar back and inside the bar.
Thanks :)

not the passenger side but its pretty much the same

Thanks, but I need it to show the whole of the bar as i\'ve a funny feeling that mine isn\'t how it should be :)

Hi Dan,

Couple of things, these sort of leaks in other cars tend to end up being water tracking in through the windowscreen where the bonding has not sealed or a piece of rust on the lip of screen aperture.
Rust on FD\'s is not a problem in any way as far as l know, so l would be surprised if it\'s a hole in the floor.

Next would be the drain tubes that run down the screen pillars if you have a sun roof.

But how about this one, in the summer my passenger carpet was sopping with water if l drove the car any real distance, turned out to be a drain pipe that had pulled off just behind the glove box. ( black pipe with a flange on it)

If you look at modern day coaches on the motorway you will often see them dumping loads of water from the rear corners of the vehicle , this is the excess water that is produced by the Air Con being dumped.
All the best Clive

Its not the air con, as its not being used at the moment. As i\'ve said in my other post, the front is dry and its only the back rear of this metal bar that is getting wet. As I was driving along in the rain last night, you could see the little puddles of water forming behind it.

Any update on this ???? i am still trying to trace a leak on mine, i removed the passenger seat and lifted the carpet, found a large round disc set in the floor pan was raised up on one side, so i sealed it, it would seem some one must have done this on purspose to drain water off !!!!!!!!! as now its bloody worse and i have a little pond under the passenger seat.
I have checked the AC drain and thats fine, cant think where the water is getting in, its definatley not coolant as its clear water not green coolant.
I dont think its coming in through the doors because its only wet on the gearbox tunnel side, either side of the cross beam that runs across the floor pan from the door to the tunnel.

Anyone got any ideas cuz its driving me nuts
