Aye aye, seen there are a few folk from up this way on here. Must be another red FD? I\'ve only driven it home from London and it\'s been in the garage ever since :(  I\'ve heard you\'re the scottish rotary master so no doubt I\'ll have some annoying questions for you at some point, probably when something goes wrong, ha ha.

The roads up here can be awesome, here\'s hoping we don\'t have winter till April again.

Well no doubt you know alot more than me, rotaries have fascinated me for a while and understand the basic concept, but it\'s the guts of it and auxilleries that still confuse me a bit. You have an fb/fc or something older?

Yeah be good to meet another enthusiast, any meets up here at all?

RotorHeid

Used to have a FB,FC,FC all of them was build up by myself with a street port, bridgeport and peripheral port engine with wonderfully Delly 48 or IDA weber.
I use those for national hillclimb/sprint in Scotland, the last car was a FC with 13BPP engine which i build up the race engine to high standard which won me three championship in 2010 and runner up in 2009.
I was not that good driver but the engine was...... superd with the great sound.
Sadly the car was sold and got another race car which is a single seater.
The single seater..... wow.. lot faster than any rex in the land and also cheaper in fuel.:)
I\'m on the sabbath now, just thinking, thinking every day about what the next engine\'ll be and what it use for!
cheers! ID

Here\'s brill Lee adam frae peterheid, and the car was build by GWR from Drumoak.
I was there with the single seater but no filming but this video will give you a idea what\'s like drive up-doune. I love it!!
Enjoy it

Experience in building up a 13b in street, bridge and peripheral ports, sounds like you\'ve been around when it comes to sorting rotaries. I love the sound of a peripheral port, you ever drive that on the street? I bet it was a beast! Before you\'re competing in national sprint and hillclimb you must know your stuff and how to drive, especially if you\'re doing it in a single seater! I\'d love to buy an engine and build it up ready for when mine needs a rebuild, take one out, plonk another one in and start again.

Doune looks like an unforgiving, scary track! That video was awesome, what a rate of knots the guy was going up there at!

Thanks man :) Yeah I see you\'re on TSG as well, been having a bit of a nosey to see how many RX owners around Aberdeen area. I\'ll keep an eye out for you.

That\'s a real nice car and with that spec it will give HUGE amounts of fun :Thumbsup!

I think you will find you have a few other FD\'s around near you indeed a few years back we even had a Scottish rep up there, have fun out there :Santa
All the best Clive

Thanks :), it\'s nice to have compliments on the car, reassures me that I found a good one, ha ha. Yeah even the drive up from London was great fun, I mean I\'d normally dread a drive that long but it was unbelieveably comfy and the car handles beautifully!

Hoping so, seems like numbers are always dwindling cos so many are being broken for parts, kind of why I felt it was a now or never decision to buy one.

I don\'t doubt I\'ll have a load of fun! :Thumbsup!

Well I wasn\'t all too sure about TSG, thought I might look into them, was unsure it was a boy racers in Tesco car park kinda deal or not. Username on there is 13BRX if you want to give me a shout for any reason.
