I can see the ABS light on in one of the sale photos.  If it comes on and then goes off again at start-up, then it should be fine for MOT - I\'m 99% sure they don\'t actually test the ABS for real, due to the practical difficulties of doing so.

If the light is staying on then you have a problem, you either need
a) to find a very understanding MOT tester
b) disconnect the light entirely and try to blag that the car never had ABS from the factory (may be possible given it\'s an import, and my old \'94 JDM S13 didn\'t have it)
c) rig up a capacitor to make it come on and off again \'correctly\' (I imagine quite a few people have done this so solutions probably exist)
d) buy a secondhand ABS unit and reinstall (however I imagine this would be quite a bit of work as it sounds like the braking system\'s been re-done without it).

Hey up Josh, I don\'t frequent here usually, only came on to see what was on the market for a friend!

The ABS was removed, and I had it removed because I knew I\'d have no trouble getting it through an MOT as I\'d done it with my previous 200sx. Like the guys said, take the bulb out, that\'s all they look for. If not, I still have the ABS unit in the garage that I\'ll send you if you cover postage, it\'ll need a bit of re-piping.

How\'s the old girl going? I miss her immensely!
