Hi all I have a problem with an FD its a 94 with standard setup and I can`t get the fuel pump to prime and have no fire, I have checked everything I can and traced and continuity tested every wire that controls the fuel system and I`m stuck, so could anyone tell me what tells the circuit opening relay to activate on pre ignition so the fuel pump primes? regards Ade :)

Have you checked the egi fuse in the fise box bolted to the battery terminal? This controls the pump.
There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......

Hi mate, I replaced the egi with relay with one off my own car which I know works and it`s still the same :(

there is a diagnostic box in the passenger side of the engine bay near the oil fill neck, run a wire between the GND & F/P connectors & turn the ignition on, this should power the fuel pump & prime the system, you should be able to hear it

Did that mate and the fuel pump works but it still doesn\'t work on pre ignition and can\'t figure out why

have you tried starting it while this wire is running fuel pump?

Yes mate still doesn\'t fire, also now I have no spark, I\'ve swapped all fuses and relays, tested all wires, I have voltage everywhere but at the black wire with the green stripe that loops from the egi relay into the open circuit relay under cranking I get 6 volts but still no fuel or spark :(
