My new, to me, FD3S Type RS

should probably mention this, i researched rx7`s for years before buying one and read up on buying/owning tips on this forum and others.
i bought my fd and flooded it because it all the info i read i never saw listed that you cant shut them off cold and if you do they will flood.
when my car flooded i again went online on this forum and others to look foradvice on how to deflood my car, it seemed easy enough from the details described and the process is simple.
unfortunately nothing was mentioned or written anywhere i looked about how long you can leave a flooded car for, mine was left flooded for a month while i was busy and during this time the seals in the engine corroded after being sat in fuel for so long.
so, as it wasnt listed anywhere i searched -

if you need to turn it off without it being warm then hold the revs at 4k for 5 seconds and then switch key off while keeping your foot pressedm that will clear the fuel and avoid the flood.
then if it does flood then ensure it is immediately deflooded, otherwise you will have a bill for two grand for a rebuild.

I assume it happens faster on modyfied FD\'s. Mine\'s standart and never got it flooded. And it isnt always warm when i shut him off. When it has to go out off the garage or something.

Who said my M5 was limited? Lol! I had a re-map and delimit done. Before that she stopped at 168mph GPS and after, I had 211mph GPS ;-)

Boosted - It\'s quite a strange feeling. In the M5 it felt very safe. But you almost get tunnel vision. My ears popped a few times the noise of you punching through the air is quite a strange one too! Definitely fun though lol!

Whilst on the topic of top speed, what is the top speed of an RX7?? I\'ve read 150-155mph in some places and others over 160mph etc. Just wondered what the "norm" was?!

I pushed 160 on my stock Twins years ago, soon as you get these cars around the 340-360 hp , easy 175

However that\'s almost certainly some joker trying to use Jon\'s lovely car\'s pictures to sell their own car.  If that\'s the case, probably worth Jon reporting the ad on gumtree.

I don\'t know. I am looking at getting new wheels for it, but I may keep hold of the originals too for when I sell it on etc. I will let you know if I do sell them though mate.
