Just in case any of you are interested I was browsing and found this series 1 for sale.

Chassis looks great and it\'s recieved a custom Bodykit.

Sticky point... It\'s got a 3ltr Vauxhaul lump in it.

Yes, it does look like a good engineering job.

But I do think you modify like this at your peril. It\'s been up for sale for a few years now and think the owner will not get back anything like his outgoing costs for the work he\'s done. It was up for £000\'s at first, gradually reducing.

I\'ve got notes on a few piston 1st gens that have come up for sale over the last few years. None have sold easily that I can remember.

If on the other hand you fancy a nice conversion for yourself and you are going to keep the car for ever and ever, then maybe OK if it suits you.

Sadly Missed

clive

This car has been around for years and has attended a couple of events with MRC, sadly whist I tried to make the guy feel welcome he did feel shunned because it was piston powered and never attended again.

One of our more  worldly members at the time took the view that this car was a car that had it not had a piston engine and the conversion it would have been scrapped by now, so he viewed it as a car saved rather than defaced.
All the best Clive

That\'s a shame as I know there\'s plenty of V8 guys using the forums! And the Omega lump isn\'t a bad engine either...

I love the bodywork on it (in fact, I\'d prefer it if it was taken even further!).
