Saw this in the flesh at Brooklands - a very integrated and together package.  It\'s the first Supercharged 8 I\'ve seen - must say it looks a nice bit of work.

nice work, looks really good.  how did you manage to split the plenum,  i though they only ran 8 psi of boost?

Not an I.T. person as you know but I would have thought your hard drive could be taken out of your machine and a good computer repairer (not pc world) should be able to extract your info for you,

Hi all just resurrecting an old thread with the mods i have made over this year
the project is at an end now thank :god:god there are just some bits i am waiting for that are cosmetic covers in the engine bay should be here in the next week or so.

there,s no point doing any more just enjoying what i have done with the car and i have had the best full month with the car putting in over 2300 miles on her:driving its done 42500 miles now :3gears-lh and just loving it when the suns out we off now i am retired i can pick and choose the days to play :cool

This system is a FCON/( IS) ECU THAT RUNS THE FULL fuel and ENGINE management system
HKS fcon/ IS, ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM now has been fully installed buy TDI LONDON

The HKS FCON (is), has been selected as the choice of aftermarket ECU’s for the management of fuel and ignition timing for this application because it is comes with a high quality harness to make connectivity a simple operation, and it\'s level of quality and functionality is extremely high.

The main features of the FCON (is) :result of methodical testing it has been concluded that the HKS FCON (,is) is a cost effective optimum installation enhanced upgrade solution on the Mazda RX8.

the full figures and mapping results will become available ( these were posted 2010 after new engine installed )the figures from a before hks was fitted just the supercharger engine and remap (of  six independent tests) and the after figures that TDI has done with the new hks system fitted the rest of the cars systems is still dealt with the cars original ecu there is quite a remarkable difference.

fuel economy UP in all areas

local and town driving is up to 24.6mpg (tested 2010/2011 ) new engine fitted

motorway/long runs 35.7  mpg (tested 2010/2011) new engine fitted

thank you for the feed back  guys and thanks to clive/ MRP/ ( and lisa)  for letting me burn his ears over the last 5 to 6 years :Talking1:Talking1:Talking1in explaining how i wanted to run the project its had a lot of twists and turns :Hammer:Hammer especially with me wanting more power and a better mileage return than the standard 8 but with his help i got there in the end and has become a good friend over the years thanks again its been worth it :Talking1:Talking1:Talking1
