If you want to buy federals ring \'service and sport\' www.serviceandsport.com as they were, at least at one time, the sole importer into the UK and tend to have a warehouse full and should have no problems sorting you out.

I use the Federal semi-slick FZ-201\'s and have been very impressed by them and even on the medium compound have no trouble getting them up to temp quickly which I know has been a concern for some people using them. They are also a bargain (compared to the previous dunlops anyway) as like the dunlops they are derived from a full slick (FZ-101) rather than a road tyre and came in about £400 cheaper for a set.

I considered using the 595 RS-R as a wet tyre but I have driven them on track in the rain and they just don\'t seem to have the compound for it. They clear water well but couldn\'t generate enough heat to get them to grip although I was in a vx220 so it may be better in something heavier like an rx. I used pirelli pzero\'s on the same day and they were much grippier. I\'ve also driven the rs-r in the dry and they hold up well but I suspect may overheat if pushed, they have a fair bit of grip but appear to be about 2secs slower than a 888 around Anglesey Coastal.

Still they make a good road/track compromise tyre or cheaper track tyre for the dry if you don\'t need to worrry about ultimate pace, which for track days isn\'t really the point anyway.

Have them complete on the FD, excellent stage of hold in the dry. Done a number of trackdays and they seem to be status up quite well. Not as out and out grippy as 888\'s but very excellent.
