A properly mapped ECU with fueling upgrades will have the fueling map on there to be able to cope with higher boost levels above the factory maps, as soon as you start changing things like exhausts and intakes as well as boost it would be using a different part of the map - if indeed there is a proper map there.

While on this subject... I\'m looking for a gauge like below

http://rspec.co.uk/performance-gauges/black-face-waterproof-series/52mm-clear-black-boost-gauge-bar

In PSI - Dont want all the fancy stuff just want something reliable and as OEM as possible

Any suggestions guys?

Quote from: m1tch;833348I had a nice set of Omori white face gauges, although I didn\'t fit them to my car they look to be a top notch gauge, remember to get a MECHANICAL boost gauge and not an electric sort :)

Be very careful if you have a decat on the stock ECU, not worth the risk.

Hi,

I\'ve looked at the omori gauges only prob is I can\'t find a site that sells them except eBay, so for now still sticking to the prosport ones, and about the mechanical boost gauge, what\'s the difference (sorry if that\'s a dumb question I\'m new to this lol) the mechanical one is cheaper than the electric, which will give a better reading?

It\'s a cat-back exhaust so that should be good right?

Thank You :)

Quote from: billybobbooth;833352I know it\'s off subject but what\'s wrong with decat with stock ecu. If anything a decat is better as there is no cat to brake up block the exhaust flow and put unwanted back pressure onto the engine?

Back on subject I\'ve never had a prob with the more expensive prosport gauges. +there far better than the cheap £20 gauges you can get and some are at £55 each not exactly the cheapest even if the warnings ant 100% perfect surly there better than no warning as once you\'ve had gauges for a while you soon forget their there and start to ignore them so a semi accurate warning is better than non.

Hi,

I\'m trusting you that you\'ve had no problems with them and I have searched up about them and haven\'t read anything really bad about them except people comparing them to top end brands but people still recommend them, I\'m only getting them just to make sure my car is running ok and I can see what is going on, I read up somewhere that the rx7 water temp gauge is weighed to be in the middle and once you see it rise then that means there\'s a massive problem so I don\'t know if that\'s true but ever since I read that I wanted to get some gauges for that sake and a peace of mind.

Thank You :)
