The standard pop up lights on my fd popped up by themselves when the car was parked up & off, now they wont go down, the lights turn on & off but dont retract even when i press the headlight button on dash. if i turn the little red knob behond each one they go down & back up again

is there a simple fix to this before i go trying to troubleshoot it?

mine did that once.. unplugged the battery then reconnect and worked again.

Perhaps they\'ve taken Viagra? :Giggle

the same thing happened to me and it was the headlight button on the dash the one you press which makes them go up and down without turning on the lights. when i replaced it they work again hope this helps. if it gets on your nerves too much you can always manually lower them lol

If it was the switch would they not still go up & down when the lights are turned on & off?

Had a quick look last night, tried switch on dash after i had dis connected & reconnrcted the battery & checked the retractor fuse which was ok but still no joy, will look at it properly today sometime but its starting to look like the switch

You still got that switch mate?

Eoiny555

Stil got this problem, replaced the switch but no difference.

I just tried troubleshooting using the FSM, when i connect the retractor actuator it just makes a click but does not move, it said to test the retractor relay in the relay box at front of engine bay but there is no relay there, looked at the bottom of the box & there are no wires from the harness to where the relay should be, is this normal?

everything else tested ok but if the actuator failed how likely are both to fail at the exact same time?
