hey mate really sorry this has happened to you. my advise would be to get it to a specialist and leave it there till the problem is located and fixed. I\'ve had my rx7 for 18 months now used as a daily for long journeys/short journeys driven hard or lightly and not once has it had any problems. not trying to rub it in just think there is something obviously wrong with it and i wouldn\'nt trust my car with anyone but a handful of specialists. especially not the AA. i think thats one stage off taking it to a spotty little kid at halfords.

Hi mate, My 2 pennies worth....... Get it to Hayward mate. There are lots of good companies out there who can trailer it for very reasonable rates. Shiply comes to mine i had quotes of £80 for an RX8 from Macclesfield to Westbury!

Carl has sorted my car over the phone for free!  ..........you really dont want a rusty transit mobile mechanic with an adjustable spanner sucking his teeth on your motor.

You prob need rid of the race battery and decent size ordinary 1 to fire her up after decent de flood.

my battery goes flat after 5 days , bloody alarm. I now jump off a massive diesel battery   after periods of un use, once in use she is perfect day after day. I flooded once and she would not restart Carl talked me through it on phone..........

as i said before keep the faith! Cars a legend.

+1 Get it to Carl, he knows the car well and he\'s a decent guy!! Shipley transport is cheap enough if you argue a quote, i just got a Supra taken from South Wales and dropped to Southampton dock for around £140 :King

thanks, bet a supra motor would work sweet in one of these, I love the rx7 look just not the shocking unreliability !

Just read this thread, sorry to hear about your troubles. I saw your car at haywards a while back, looks smart as hell. :god

This is a load of :censored::censored::censored::censored:! :bandit:Nono!:Nono!

Big and heavy straight six lump would ruin everything.

They do not have shocking reliability, no more than highly strung piston engines,  alot of issues are caused from people simply not understanding the 13b.

From reading this thread, I would not be surprised if it was something very simple to fix, the previous owner did not have any issues did he? :3gears-lh

This may sound pretty simple but have you over looked the type of plugs that are fitted? if they aren\'t standard fit some standard ones as I believe they start better on standards, like 7\'s and 9\'s or maybe 7\'s all round.

I am sure someone will be along to correct me if I am wrong. give it a go anyway, cheap first starting point.
