Air con not working in my FD

As above..

Went off to have the engine rebuilt a couple of years back, air con has never worked since, just bows out hot air.

Doesn\'t even look like the compressor is engaging as the revs dont drop when the aircon is switched on.

I dont even know where to start, I am sure it doesn\'t need re-gassed so was hoping there might be some fuses / relays anyone could recommend checking ?

I\'d like to get it working before I sell the car, any thoughts please let me know....

Air con specialist best bet.....He can pressure test before adding gas.

most likely it needs recharged, the pressure sensor in the system wont let the clutch engage if the pressure is low

Check for leaks too. When I first got mine we refilled it ad it worked for a while. When I eventually removed it it turned out there was a large leak.

Now I have none and it\'s fecking hot in this weather

OK, thanks for all your replies, I am going to take it to my aircon dude, just wanted to make sure there is nothing else to check before I fork out the cash to get it recharged...

only put in 520g of gas, the book says 550g but it can stall the engine (they dont tell you that)
