Mazda piston engine

Hi guys, I\'ve recently purchased a Mazda 1000 1976 model but for some reason it\'s started burning oil quite severely so I\'m wanting a replacement engine, I want the car to be useable and cheap to run so no 12a or 13b options please as much as I\'d love too.

1000-1300 cc please from similar era

I have 1,8 engine from 929 1977
gearbox, engine (almost complete)
it could be 2,0 engine. never checked.

Sadly a little too big really, want a 1300 or 1500 at the absolute max
