But being a RE-Amemiya slut it just appeals

Welcome to the club. Great looking car you\'ve got there and has been very well looked after. Where abouts in Surrey are you based?
It would be a great Re Amemiya replica if it hadn\'t been fitted with a FEED copy bodykit :Hammer

Thanks Phil, thats what I figured - the engine alone was a 13k rebuild so for me to pay 14k for the whole car is still good value imo, I paid 28k for my Porsche that was slow and I got a 5k bill for a new gearbox when I tried to drive it hard, if I bought a brand new car it would leak value hugely.

thanks, are you saying it has the wrong kit on it?

I am based in Banstead, Surrey.

Ada7

No i\'m not say it has the wrong kit, unless you say its a replica of a Re Amemyia car. The only part i can see that look like Re Amemyia on it are the rear light cover and maybe the rear wing. The fact that it been painted in the same colour as an old Re A drift car make people think its a replica.

Here\'s what the original looks like

You can see why people get the worng idea as they are similar but not the same when you look closely.

All being said, its a good car and will get you lots of attention :D

We have Guildford meets every now and again. Keep your eye out for them, would be cool for you to bring it along

right, I geuss thats another job to do then - no point having a replica that isnt an exact replica, I do prefer the look of Alex`s Car though, especially the wheels I feel are an improvement over those on the original. Guildford meet would work for me, thanks

roborangefd3s

just looking at the pics, think Alex`s car looks better than the original, I wont change the look in anyway.

If you like it then keep it how it is. Its all about personal taste when it comes to modding car. What one person may like, another my hate. I just thought you\'d like to know whats what with the parts on the car thats all.
To be fair, i\'d leave it how it is now. Not may people realise the difference with bodykits in or out of the rotary scene so i wouldn\'t worry about it. Save you money for fuel and other goodies for it later on

I stick to your guns for a bit would make a great promotional tool for somebody. It draws crowds in the scene. Its been to lots of shows on the continent and one of the very recognisable rx7\'s out there.
