Have had the light on the dash lit for a while.

It used to go off after a while but now it\'s on all the time.

Checked the pads and they\'re fine all round, 4-5mm left.

What should I look for next?

Thanks

John
I started with nothing and I have most of it left

There\'s a float switch in the brake fluid reservoir - this also triggers the brake warning light, as does the handbrake switch contact.

Check fluid level, if it\'s ok, try unplugging the connector to the float switch and see if you can turn the warning light on/off - if so, then the float switch may be faulty.  After that try the handbrake switch - you have to remove the cover to get at the switch contact at the back.

As prof says - fluid level, failing that something iffy with the brake light wiring... does it flicker if you push the pedal?

Is it definatly the brake warning light or is it the ABS system?

Prof

Vert\'s don\'t have ABS - unless someone retrofits it...
