Ever since i\'ve owned my car (18 months) the clutch has very very slightly slipped when cold......Only occasionally does this when driving conditions force me to use accerelator......Once warm No slip and revs , pulls all the way to red line?
Could i have a aftermarket clutch? Took 15 mins of abuse round coombe recently no slip. but did it again this morning jumped 500 rpms.....

:Tongue1

or :xconfused

knackered clutch fluid or leak onto flywheel?

levels all good cars done 117km so must be on 2nd clutch ?

Could be a whole host of things resulting in slip. But, I had a single carbon clutch which slipped when the engine boosted until the clutch was warm.

Clutch pedal was really nice almost better than OEM.

Not saying you have a carbon clutch, just sharing my experience which may help you.

I\'d suggest looking inside the clutch housing inspection hole with a light. You may see something to offer an answer.

Real sorry, but this is the first signs of a worn stock clutch on an FD :(

As Chris says look inside the clutch housing inspection hole with a light and you will see the thickness of the centre plate
All the best Clive

You may not say that when you have to get to it :Giggle

Quite a big job getting to it to swap it out, plenty of cursing !

Gear box out in 2 hours max, change clutch in ten mins, gear box back in. Easy peasy, have done this many times using axle stands and a car jack.
