Richard

Trust me, I would love a 20b living in the engine bay :D

Quote from: clive;821716Ow, come on, this is a budget racer and an over 2k clutch would be money spent in the wrong direction :chat

I wanted a clutch assembly that has very low inertia so the clutch below is on order from Mazdatrix has a super light fly wheel and a Quartermaster 4.5 diameter twin plate

That is definately super light weight!! Rev happy. How much is one of those clutches?

Looking forward to seeing Clive and his creation on track.

This might give you a few ideas

It is a budget buster, but was under the RX-8s that were in the mix at the Daytona 24 hours this year with this lot.

Hi Clive,
Great news and I too am looking forward to seeing this car develop.

Just to tempt you, Steve has a 20b available, remember its the fastest pallet in the north !!

The engine wouldn\'t even need opening either, just build a manifold and stick to gt40 on there and you would get more than 400hp and huge more amount of torque.

This was contemplated, but remember this is supposed to be a "cheap" easy to build race car,

I\'m already looking at the RX-8 six speed box as a disposable item, stick a 20b in and I\'m into gearboxes and diffs that I would rip apart like wet paper bags  :Giggle

BTW, I said it was going to run 400 BHP / I didn\'t say that was it maximum horsepower potential :chat

Great to see another rotary out there racing and should only *hopefully, help the development of the RX8.

Very curious about your engine choice, however, i am sure it will be announced in good time!

Although i am sure i could find out if i wasnt so lazy, but forgetting car costs etc, whats the budget for entering the series Clive?
