Hi all,

Most of you on here know this car, im selling my FC this summer, I havn\'t been able to drive it that much as its not being used as it should be as well as the fact that I am building a drag kart and basically moving away from road going modded cars etc.

Here are the specs of it:

Front and rear strut braces

20mm hubcentric spacer on the front (to allow rims to clear)

Alarm

Cat 1 style - immobaliser, turbotimer, remote start, LCD colour fob, Code extry, proximity alarm etc

The car has had everything welded underneath, but front and rear sills have been welded by Mazda main dealer, it does have a few small dings and scratches but the car isn\'t new and this is to be expected, paintwork is good for the age though and there is no rust around the sunroof.

I am not looking for any part ex, just cash, I am looking for around £4.5k ono, a lot of car for not much money, very easy to simply bolt on a larger turbo to get some very good power, ive got all the supporting mods ready for big power, I am however selling the car before I have gone for big power.

The car ran a 14.2 at Santa pod a few years back when it was standard, with a slipping clutch and boost leak, the engine was around 210bhp at that point, its now probably closer to 300bhp (safe max on the OEM turbo)

I am looking to sell later in the summer, I need to swap out the clutch for an Exedy stage 2 to make it more streetable as it doesn\'t need a 700bhp ORC clutch anymore!

Here are some initial photos, I will get some more up later this week, but it won\'t be for sale until the clutch and base map are sorted and im happy that everything is in order. The photos below were taken at various stages of the build up, I will sort out some complete photos very soon.

I\'m seriously interested in this - I was hoping to buy a TII later this summer. Could you please email me some more details and photos and a rough date you\'d be looking to sell around?
Thanks

You have email, need to get the mapping sorted and the clutch swapped could be ready in about a month or so but I personally need to be 100% happy with the car before im happy to sell it.

I\'m also quite interested. Has the car been sold yet?

Not yet, I need to sort out the clutch and mapping and tidy up a few things on the car before I will offer it for sale, I just wanted to put it up now as those 2 parts won\'t that too long so keep an eye on the thread!

I have taken a few photos of the car, its rather hard to get a good photo under the car, but its all solid and has been Waxoyled by previous owners over the years:

Condition of paintwork and straightness

Under the car

Inside the rear arch showing condition of metalwork

Interior

Seems it 87k not 89k miles :)

Inside the boot in the spare wheel well (usually rusts due to water collection)

Here are the bits that I need to mention:

Small cosmetic rust patch on the corner of the drivers door

Minor dinks down the edge of the door (would just need tweeking and touching up)

Passenger side door lock slightly damaged externally (lock still works fine but the damage makes the lock stiff to use - I only use the drivers door)

Small section of paint bubble on drivers side rear arch and a few scuffs, metalwork is still solid, scuffs might polish out (previous owner)

Looks good..seems a bit of work needs done to get the car spot on and a few wiring here and there.

Just the one headlight air vent? i know it\'s for the filter but looks a bit weird on just the one side. :P

m1tch

How do you mean about the wiring? might just need tucking away, the wires down the side of the centre is for the gauges etc, I just havn\'t routed them anywhere else at the mo, not really anything to do on the car, bit of work to restore the small bits of paintwork.

Yeah just the 1 as thats where the air filter is, no point having one on the otherside as the battery doesn\'t need cooling!

B.Martin

I\'ll swap you for a stock one of the next owner doesn\'t want it ;)

Swap with cash my way? ;)

Should be getting this all mapped up soon so it will be ready for sale soon :D

m1tch

I should be hopefully getting the 1680s initially mapped in this weekend, I will then be able to get the clutch sorted - swapped over to an Exedy stage 2 very soon after.

I have just been made redundant at work so I might be looking for a quicker sale on this than originally planned.

Kamatari

oh no :( well ive got £500 here if its that quick of a sale ;)

Add a block of gold to that and we have a deal :D

update - car is on a base map at the moment, need to go out and drive it a bit more to check everything is safe, but the secondaries stage properly now so I just need to swap the clutch over and it will be ready.

Quote from: Kamatari;824172i can add a brick painted gold if that counts?

Hmm I might use the brick as a courier for the invoice during a brick to window interface :2Rolleyes

Update: the car is now on a safe base map - runs at 10.7:1 on the higher rpms which would need further mapping - should have time to tweek the map further but the E-manage ultimate can self map using the AFRs.

All I need to do is swap the clutch over to the Exedy stage 2 clutch (plently of grip for a lightly modded/modded FC. I should have this sorted in the next few weeks or so then I will be happy to class it as \'for sale\' :)
