Found this in the dash, doesn\'t look factory. I googled it but it brought up nothing. Can I rip it out and tidy up the wiring it\'s been hacked into?

Just a thought is it a tracker device?
There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......

Well it has no alarm or remote start. So it\'s redundant.

It\'s under the dash, scotchblocked into some of the wiring near the steering column.

Is it a mph converter? I had a similar looking box wired into my clocks to convert them to mph when it was imported. Not sure it is the same thing but could be?

Gaz.

It\'s not wired to the speedo, and the car still reads KMH. This was fitted in Japan.

witch cables are they connected to? looks like a filter of some sort to the sound system.

Good to see people read the thread, it\'s to do with the A/C.

It\'s been ripped out now anyway.
