Hi everyone..

So inspecting the underneath of the car today looking for rust etc (couldnt find any - phew!) i thought i would have a look what make my exhaust is, when i purchased the car i was advised it was a "kakimoto" but printed in metal it reads "Jasma"

Im not too knowledgable about exhausts but i am looking to find out some info on this exhaust but cant find it anywhere..is it a good exhaust? Also could anybody give me a valuation on it as i have a HKS one up in the loft to put on in the summer and will be looking to sell the Jasma in the very near future.

Thanks

davehg

jasma is not a manufacturer but you should find a code next to the jasma badge this will relate to a manufacturer.

Yeh i can see one but its hardly visible..i\'ll try and get a closer look in the morning..its just so faint its actually engraved onto the metal..

What colour is the Kakimoto label? If its red, its the race only loud sort, if its black its the road legal sort - well for Japan anyhow.

Red label:

Hey M1tch, i thought it was a kakimoto as previous owner stated but as i mentioned earlier this is not the case its a JASMA, just got to find out what the code is..

JASMA isn\'t a manufacturer.. it\'s just a stamp - much like an E-Mark that proves the exhaust was made to certain specifications regarding noise levels and other such criteria.

If there are no other brand names, or labels, then Kakimoto\'s are 017 I believe.

As already stated, JASMA is just quality mark (a bit like a kite mark on glass or E marks on goods) the last 3 digits of the number stamped on it will tell you who made it, if its got a 017 at the end its a Kakimoto
