DTSS Eliminators fitted. Await pictures of skids :driving

Good man. How\'d you get on with them in the end then? Sizes etc okay? Did you get any pic\'s of the installation?

I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

I didn\'t I\'m afraid man, I just gave the car to my mate during the week and he had them in a day and a half later! He said they were absolutely no problem to fit though, although one of the original DTSS items was absolutely shagged.

Gave the car a bit of a blast through the Cheshire countryside to see if there was much difference without the DTSS...the answer is a big yes. Even when doing doughnuts in the car before it always either understeered or you\'d end up overcorrecting, keeping it sideways was like being on an ultra-fine knife edge. This was a view shared by many of my mates who are pretty experienced skidders.

The car feels a lot more natural to drive on the ragged edge now and felt pretty good on the odd bypass roundabout...I\'ll have to take it for some more extensive skidding soon!

Just another recent pic. It feels a lot better since it\'s work the other week so hopefully it\'ll be out on track soon :D

very jealous of those wheels....

ali303

Well as the weather was beautiful today it\'d have been rude not to take it to work...

Took it for a night on the skids last night, it\'s got so much more rear traction with the DTSS eliminators it\'s ridiculous, before one little clutch kick would have the car pointing in the wrong direction but now it\'s a lot more predictable. Definitely needs more lock though and a few other bits and bobs, it\'s very nervous and such (I remember reading an article on the why the FC is so much harder to drift than an S-body, the main issue being a much better weight distribution meaning it gives less of a pendulum effect).

Also, I\'ve always suspected a minor fuel leak but I put my foot down before and it smelt like I was literally driving through a petrol station (as opposed to just the regular smell of a car running rich). Weird, I\'ll have to take a look.

Also bought some Driftworks steel wheel nuts as the D1 items were rubbish. Seem to be doing the job so far.

Great stuff man, glad to see it all back on road again and fairly trouble free.

Put car up for sale again. Had lots of serious interest. Stuck S13 front lip on and drove around for a bit. Don\'t want to sell it any more.

You totally shouldn\'t sell with all the work you\'ve been putting in, looks smooth as with the s13 front lip :)
