FD3s running/fueling issues

hi guys, new to rx-7s so please bare with me! i bought mine last week and since then ive fallen in love with it! even with its problems its still an incredible car!
 
but there are issues! ive done some searching but cant find anything that is the same, she has good compression (7.5 on both) starts first time everytime even with the cold weather here in Essex, and runs perfectly when driving, the problems start when at idle, she splutters sligthly, idles below 1k rpm never cuts out but its not a smooth idle, and also when sat idling a strong smell of fuel fills the car, gives me a head ache after a while! its only when i come to a stop though, never when running, and when running she is perfect as far as i can tell, runs smooth, no noises or smells
 
any help or suggestions would be appreciated! thanks

Fuel return/ feed  line leak perhaps at fuel pump?

Fuel pump access is in the boot on the passenger side. lift the carpet/ there\'s a metal cover there...remove said cover check for petrol leak?

Just a suggestion somebody else may be a long with a bit more of an insight!

Please check out the fuel pulsation damper because it can cause this car to burst into flames.
