Hi lads,

I have an issue with my diff it started making noise, but only when accelerate.
It is a little bit leaking due to old seals, how ever I alwys refill  with fresh oil.

Could it be that diff need new adjusment or it is time to change diff. By the way I hear some noises from gear box like from rally car, oil level is fine.

Let me know where I can fix the problem and how much does it cost +/-

Cheers.

if your rotor doesn\'t work, try to seek for problems in washing maschine centrifuge...

Is your diff welded or an aftermarket 1.5 or 2 way

Tbh honest it sounds like bearing Failure So it could be rebuilt but I have no idea about costs etc

Prof

Could be mounts too - if you can get underneath - take a look where the prop shaft joins the diff - there is a mount on the end of the diff there, and that is known to knock against the chassis if that rubber mount fails.

well diff stock from fd... torsen lsd...

it could be bearing, I bet easyer would be to change hausing for my diff?

Regarding mounts will check shortly. Any one has spare diff hausing from FC NA?

Or what bearing we are talking about?

Is it easy to adjust the diff correctly without special tools they are talking about in the factory workshop manual?

Mine will be rebuild aswell and i am not going to take any chances. It just needs correct adjustment and if i cannot do that because of missing tools or something i\'ll drop it off at a specialist.

@mcpie,

If you say that it only makes noise under acceleration, i could immagine that it could be wear on some teeth.

But you only find out if you take it appart

McPie

If I take it out I will need new seals that I have no Idea where to buy from, regarding teeth that is also realy possible, cause some times OIL level was realy low in diff.

It is pain in the *** to take of rear end with diff :) will leave car till better weather, then try to do some stuff :)

oem parts can be bought at the dealer, for example.

I\'ve replaced the 3 oil seals earlier on because of a leak.
