Has anyone used one of these contraptions on a stripped shell ?

In particular, has anyone used one on a vert before ? Any idea how low down the centre of gravity would be once roof and doors are removed and all suspension / diff / gearbox etc and fuel tank. (probably leaving windcreen in if I can - let the painter take that out carefully ;) ) ?

Never used one myself but I\'ve seen a couple of threads on other forums where the OP has made one of their own. Looks like the easiest way to do a full resto on a car. Defo something I\'d be doing if I ever do one.

I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

That\'s what I was thinking - means I can stand or sit to do my wire brush / welding / painting of the underside :)

How much rust do you have?If there is lots then make one or I\'ve been told they are on ebay for about £150 (i\'ve not looked though)

My rx4 I had a scaffold pole available so we tacked that on the box section inside the arch and sat it on builders tressels, but I did\'nt have enough rust in the middle to warrent getting it on a spit
