How Many 1st Gens Still Running?

Searching for something yesterday and found this car (C979 RMV) that came from Medway in Kent

Always liked this car a lot and at the time was 100% origonal apart from those fog lamps

Any ideas if it\'s still around ??

I guess it is Clive, as it is SORNed every time I check. Presently SORNed to autumn 2012.

It first appeared at Gaydon Show in 2002, then it was at Medway Show in 2010. I don\'t know who owns it though or where exactly it lives. I\'ve got it down as Kent Area with question marks..??

I\'ve noted that those bold side flashes were missing from the car last time out.

£1200! Are prices rising, or are they being a little too optimistic

Apart from the rust on the scuttle, it looks quite clean and tidy. I do wonder what the rust is like underneath though, given the scuttle rust, but they say ot passed an MOT...............

As promised back in October, I said I would let you know when I had an RX7 in my garage. I bought the silver one that didn\'t sell on ebay in October:

It\'s now taxed and tested so on the road. Still needs some fettling, but plenty of time for that over the winter. Registration is B one seven six HTO, for updating your list (location is near Hexham, Northumberland). I suppose it will get nicknamed "HOT". It has the maroon interior, so is very "retro". I wasn\'t keen on the interior colour at first, but now I really like it. I have a snag list of 28 items and managed to cross 4 off at the weekend. Still lots to do, but I like things working and looking as they should.
 
I need a front bumper if anybody has any leads (preferably in silver). The current one could be repaired, but it is probably easier to just replace. Also need a rear washer resevoir bag as the old one got split over the weekend when temperatures here got below minus 5 and froze and split the bag (but I won\'t be paying 25 quid for the one currently on ebay!).
 
The car came with a load of spares - I had to make a second trip in a bigger car to pick them all up. Unfortunately it didn\'t have a moonroof stashed in the boot but at least the fuel tank wa replaced just a few years ago!

Hi Paul. HTO was quite near me and I sold Dai and Debbie some plugs. They came to my house but didn\'t bring \'Hottie\' so I\'ve never seen it. They are nice people too.

Yes, Dai and Debs were great to deal with - really nice people and we did a deal that worked for both sides.  Dai did the work needed and put the car through the MOT before I picked it up.

I will try to post some pics of "Hottie" as is now and then once again in a few months when tidied up.  
 
I\'m pleased to have got a sound, original, low mileage (66,000m) car with little rust and a recent new fuel tank, failure of which now seems to be the main issue in keeping 1st gens on the road.
